Exciting Expansion of the APEX Program
After one year of launching our APEX program and witnessing its early success, we are thrilled to announce new opportunities for our younger age groups. The APEX program has enabled players to participate at the highest levels, and we are now expanding this initiative to include an APEX pool for younger age groups.
This expansion will allow us to field multiple APEX teams at each age group, specifically for players born in 2014, 2015, 2016 and 2017. These teams will benefit from high-level coaching, year-round competition, and training, ensuring our talented players have the opportunities to compete at the highest levels. With the expansion of roster sizes and moving from 7v7 to 9v9 and finally 11v11, this provides our players opportunities to move within the APEX program.
We are excited to offer the APEX program to multiple teams across various age groups, strengthening our program and providing our players with the best possible environment to develop and excel. We look forward to seeing you at tryouts this year!
Congratulations to 2014 Boys APEX at the Jeff Cup!!
The 2014 Boys APEX team participated in the Jeff Cup last weekend, one of the most prestigious youth tournaments in the country. Out of 86 accepted teams from across the country and internationally, the 2014 Boys APEX team was one of seven PA teams in the 2014 boys age group. They were the only PA team to advance out of their group and make it to the finals!
The boys won their group by going 2-0 in group play, beating Carolina Core 3-1 in game one and VSA Pre-ENCL 4-2 in game two. They won their semi-final match 2-1 over McLean VA. In the championship game, they took the lead and held it until the last five minutes when Loudoun Pre-ENCL tied the game 1-1 and forced the game into extra time, when eventually Loudoun won in penalty kicks.
The 2014 Boys APEX played tremendously all weekend and were deserving of winning the championship, only to come up short in the penalty shootout.
